Hey guys, i just joined this forum yesterday. And i have a few things to ask you guys.

1. How long does your battery last? (My battery drops very quickly, i wonder is it because the 3G network is always on?)

2.How do i turn off the 3G data connection? (I just want to on it when i am using, like the iphone)

3.How do i set music as my ringtone?

4. Whats the lastest Rom for Htc Sense and WM?

5. Is there a way to improve battery life?

Thanks in advance:) Love this phone
Peace to the world

Chris wait till you get the phone or read the manual. Why bother telling you how to set ringtones?

Different areas have different rom updates. Latest official european update is 1.66.

Obviously to save battery life is simple. Keep lcd dimmed or off as much as posible. Don't play with your phone if not needed. Charge it everyday. Common sense. I leave 3G/H on 24/7. If I go to bed 100% charged , in the morning it will still be 99%. There are apps to turn 3G off. Mentioned quite a few times on forum already.

My suggestion since you don't have phone is take some time to read. The forum and the users manual for the HD2.

Unless i'm missing something, he already has the phone. He talks about his battery dropping charge quickly.

The battery, I found, takes about 2 weeks of charging to get the full charge on the phone. When I first got mine, it would last around 6 - 10 hours, if i was lucky. But since letting it decharge, and recharging it fully, it seems to hold a full charge of a day or two now. Obviously,as Agoattamer says, turning off certain things will help you keep the charge. Also, if you're using the mains adapter to charge your phone, unplug it as soon as it's charged, as keeping it plugged in decharges it for safety purposes.

I was advised about this app;
http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-manila-dialup-enabler-disabler.html
it turns off your contract internet until you want to turn it back on.

As far as I'm aware, to set music as your ringtone, you need to have the song on your phone, rather than your memory card.

Please don't let your Li-Ion battery discharge.
That's harmful for your device.
Don't let it go below 2.7v.
Li-Ion suffers from NO memory loss, so It's okay to charge whenever,
but if you want the maximun days with your battery, charge only when you're low.
low is not discharge.
Having your phone shutoff automatically from low power is okay once in awhile, but don't let it get to that point if you can help it.

It does take a week or 2 to condition the battery. Run it down each time but never to the point that the phone shuts off.

And leaving the charger attached after the phone is charged should not start discharging the phone. That is not a safety option. If that happens with your wall charger then I would replace it as it is defective.

You can put the ringtone a number of places. I put the ringtones on the device in My Documents/My Ringtones. When I put them on the card they would show up in my media player with my albums.

You can then select the ringtone two methods. Browse to it with file explorer and hold your finger on it till a menu pops up then select "set as ringtone". Or you can go settings/sound & Display and set it up there.

as people have already mentioned, do not fully discharge. it isn't greatly damaging but it isn't good for it either.

i get 2-3 days use out of my phone now. took maybe a month to condition it.

the dial up data connection app is good, i use that. but if you are lazy and want it to do it itself use "wmlonglife"
