Hello all, Ive been looking into the HD2 and it looks amazing, I think it will be my next purchase, I have a few questions though.

Size. Is it too big? Does it fit nicely into a pocket? The biggest Phone Ive had was the Omnia HD.

Apps. how is the Windows Marketplace? Are there a decent amount of apps for HD2?

Is it laggy? The only WM phone Ive had was the Omnia II and the lag was annoying me, startup times etc.

Battery, how long does it last?

Hows the Camera Flash?

Thats pretty much it, anything else I should be concerned with? Thanks in Advance.

Hows Edge? When I get it I will be using it on ATT Edge, dosent concern me too much as long as its usable. Possible to watch youtube?

Weight? Is it heavy at all?

it is big there is no way we can say otherwise even the box it comes in says the dimensions are big by big lol.
but i think it feels good in the hand when doing portrait typing, find it hard to do landscape because i use swype (instead of normal typing). I don't think it is that big because I am used to it, others that see it are most likely thing "omg it's going to eat me!!" or something like that.

there are loads of apps, I've heard 30k+ but they are hard to find, the marketplace is pretty empty and over priced but there are many websites that provide free apps, also the XDA forum but it is a hard to find something in that forum.
http://www.htchd2forum.com/where-can-i-download-applications-games/windows-mobile-app-stores/

I get some lag sometimes but only because I mess up my phone and don't hard reset it or fix it. When I've not broken it, it works fine and is super fast.

Battery, you'll get a varied response. Yesterday I finished my third day and put it on charge at 9% before i slept (would have lasted the night. Usually I get 2 days which includes watching an hour+ of tv and regular phone use.. and playing use.
Today I've used 11% and used it for a few calls. My battery has gotten better over the 2 months.

Camera flash is bright, if you aren't careful planes will think you are signalling them to land.
(too bright for up-close shots)

There are a few US users here so you should have an answer on EDGE use soon.

It is probably the heaviest phone around, but the weight is very well distributed and feels good and solid. The iphone feels so light after using this, and it feels cheap :S. When the phone is in hand I can't feel the weight, but when it is in the pocket it may cause the jeans to fall.

hope this helps also check out the reviews section alot of our members have posted detailed thoughts that you will find useful.

It seems to me that you're not here to ask questions about the phone, but to get assured by the decision you have made.

All your questions are answered many times, and there are many videos of it online.
You obviously have been reading, researching about the phone for awhile.

Release date for T-Mobile is nigh. Expectations are high.
And it seems like this one will deliver.

As for 3G and EDGE goes, I had an iPhone 3G on t-mobile network. I could only access the EDGE on it, but the speed is pretty good. It's ok for normal use.
I currently have Blackberry 8900 and that's on EDGE network, and I use it perfectly fine.
Even GPS responds nicely and well up to speed.

Get yourself a piece of cardboard. Cut yourself out a rectangle that is 2.5x4.75 inches (67mmx120mm) and there you have it. And its 90% screen.   Its only .43inches (11mm) thick.

It's very slightly thinner than the original iPhone.
It's Wide by Wide, but thinner than most smartphones out there.
As long as you don't wear really tight pants, you'll be ok.

Big screen = GREAT.
Big screen AND thin? = Hell yes!

This will be my next phone as well.
As SOON as T-mobile announces it, I'm there with my wallet open.

If you are talking T-mobile USA you should feel lucky. They are practically giving them away.

I'm with ATT too. I have the T9193. I would jump ship in a heartbeat to T-mobile because of their cheap rates and awesome phones. Except for one thing. Their service and coverage is as bad as it gets. Can't use and enjoy your phone when you have no coverage and dropped calls.

You make a good point! Not to mention, here at my new house (just moved in), I litterally get full bars at all times with ATT, so I think I'll just save up and get an Unlocked HD2 in a month or so.
