Not had my HD2 long and now Desire comes out - have I chosen the right phone? Should I have I waited for Desire? I think the main difference is that Desire is not windows based and considerd a better operating system and windows is dead for the future.

What do you think?

Hi, I think you will never keep up with technology! You are always going to see something new, real close! I love my hd2, no regrets. But no one can decide for you? I don't think windows is dead?  Good luck,,Quig

People think that the phones that uses Windows Mobile 6.5 or less are gonna stop operating once windows phone 7 hits.
It will work just as it have in the past until your phone dies. It's made to be a business phone. Windows Phone 7 series is focused on social networking.
Android is a good platform because it's open sourced. There are lots of people who's interested in because of that factor.
Most normal people won't or can't even tell the difference besides how the screen looks.

If you want to wait for the Desire? that's ok.
It's too much of a nexus one like phone for my liking.
I'd take HD2's 4.3 screen than 3.7.
