You really sure? The user guide specifically mentions that you should not use any kind of shields on the display because it already has an anti scratch coating from the factory. Please dont urge people do to things that is against the book without telling them that it may void their warranty.

i am 99% sure this wont void the warranty, to provide a means of further protecting the item will surely be welcomed by the manufacturer and not place a void int he warranty

So long as it done not change the structure of the phone or damage it by any means i dont see it to be a problem, i dont kow if anyone else will second this but these are my feelings anyway

I agree, can't see that it would do anything but help protect screen. My only concern would be if it cut down in how sensitive capacitive screen re-acted? But I would think it would have to be tested before they would market it. Quig

It specifically mentions not to use a screen protector in the manuel it voids warranty! Read it, it's there! Also the HD2 screen is already very scratch resistant and don't need any further protectors.

See

for proof. I would NOT add it myself anyway.

here is my advice... if you do need to send it back because of a fault take off the screen protector and then send it.

99% success rate...

ps. someone has tried that test on a different decive which was shown to be unscratchable and well ye you get the idea.

see that is what concerned me hence why i am going to use a screen protector the Apple IPhone screen was said to be un-scratchable and had videos all on you tube to back this and yet some how even though i am careful i managed to scratch it. For a £500 phone i will do all that is needed to protect it lol

Well, I really recommend this for you guys. I've already got my HD2 screen scratched (i put it with the headphones in my pocket, I dont know how it is scratched but may be I set on them!?) and got the body damaged too (it fall down on the street ), my bad  Cry . And I dont think it will void the warranty because it wont hurt the screen, unless it's a thick protector and you needed to press harder, but with a protector as thin as the iphone protector, I think the screen will be just fine. I've talked with the htc guys about the scratch on the screen and they said: "its supposed to be scratch resistance, how did you managed to scratch it !!) well, my answer was : "how much it will cost me to change the screen glass?" he said about 800-900 AED ( $218-$245) coz I thought about changing it after it gets more scratches. Now I think I'll ask them if the plastic body could be changed because I dont like scratches on my phone since I have suffered from them on my previous Nokia phones. And I dont want to have cover, case or something that will disturb the cool clean looking of the phone, I want to enjoy looking at it and let others see it. I know this might sound crazy Lips sealed but Its just my way of thinking  Tongue

Roll Eyes Well, you can say its resistant to light scratches which scratch other normal displays, like keys, coins and chains but with a light pressure, I tried scratching it with a knife but without using much pressure and it didnt get scratched Grin, unless there was somehow high pressure the display will be scratched even by headphones (as in my case Sad) or keys. However, I went to the HTC guys and asked them about the capability of changing the body and they said it can be changed but after 6 months from now. And I asked them about the screen protector and the car kit, it may be available within 3 to 4 weeks, and I'm surely going to get the screen protector (first priority) and the car kit Wink

There is a big difference between "scratch resistant" and "scratch proof".

I agree that if you do have to send it back to the factory, the IS comes off easily so just remove it before doing so.

ok so i am sure you are all eagerly awaiting my review seeing as i have just got through the invisible shield, (will post pics soon) i will be honest the front protector that goes over the screen was a total nightmare to put on, it is really important to ensure it is completley wet and if you leave it too long you run the risk of any airborn dust and dirt getting underneath and that kinda stuff annoys me, i had to re-apply the front 3 times. It actually isnt too bad to be fair the only thing i would say if you use swype then it can be a little tricky as the protector itself can only be described as somewhat rubbery lol

The back covers went on fine and true to what they say after about 24 hrs all the tiny bubbles you can see all disperse.

Overall:

Protection 8/10 (would have made more if it covered the whole screen and didnt leave boarders)
Application 6/10

Just my opinion but bodyguardz makes a much better one for usually less money and it tends to cover more area. My only experience was with my iPhone, but its night and day better than Invisible Shield's iPhone cover. I'll be getting the bodyguardz one once I get my HD2.

I think the important issue is what's running on your hd2 what 's new & like making use of the processor  & large screen & the like  & as many properly functioning emulators possible along with multiple blueray movies&dvd's the bare basic accompanying wallet provided is just pretty cool Grin
