"According to a post from an Adobe employee in the Adobe forums, the first Flash Player 10.1 phone running Windows Phone 7 will be the HTC HD2, which should please HD2 owners who have been waiting for official confirmation that the phone will get an upgrade from Windows Mobile 6.5. "

I can't say I believe anything anymore, well, unless it's something official from HTC. There have been so many 'official' reports from websites saying that we will get the upgrade, others saying that we won't.....although, to be honest, I think I'm quite happy to stay with Mobile 6.5!

My head is spinning. Get wp7, not get it. Get flash and not get it. I think somebody out there is telling very tall tales.  Wink  I guess we will have to wait and see.

I don't think I've ever been so confused about the future as I am now.

At this point, I don't think I can handle the truth.

I wonder how much HTC is paying Adobe to make that lie up? Seems they are doing everything to keep the hopes up for the HD2.

I'm not excited about WP7. I can live with the flash that skyfire provides. I just want my phone to work correctly. Too many people with bugs. Just fix the phone HTC for everyone. That is all I would need to see.

What are these common 'bugs' I keep hearing about?
Is it for official ROM or custom?

Common bugs that I know of are: sms not sending and internet connection losing connection or freezing. I seem to now have an issue where my email settings and my wep passcode just delete themselves when it feels like it.  But I am all alone on that one.

But I would not be worried about the T-mobile USA version. It has the newest rom and a different radio configuration. Seems HTC has forgotten about the rest of the world for the time being and put all their attention into the t-mobile phone.

Because if it doesn't take off on T-Mobile, the US support for HD2 will be none, especially with the 'No win7 capability' announcement.
Better sell it before it's not 'wanted' on market.
No wonder it's so cheap!
I see your plan, HTC and T-Mobile and a little bit of Microsoft!

If I'm satisfied with Min Mo 6.5's performance, and it would appear that most people who have the HD2 in the U.K. and Europe are, I may not upgrade as well. However, I don't think T-Mobile would create the buzz and fanfare they plan on the 16th ahead of the phone's release without assurance from Microsoft that there would be an upgrade path to Win Phone 7 for it, as they would jeopardize perhaps up to 50% of the phone's potential sales, not to mention MS needs to hold on to as many users as possible, as they are losing market share rapidly to Google's Android O.S. and can ill-afford to alienate anyone who would purchase the HD2.

The five hard buttons on the phone aside, the HD2 has the hardware spec to support and run Win Phone 7 so I don't know why MS wouldn't provide the capability for the tens of thousands of subscribers I suspect T-Mobile will get once the phone is launched to upgrade should they choose. So one way or another I suspect there will be an upgrade available for this device only given everything mentioned above and the fact that it is the last new Windows Mobile phone running 6.5 to be released prior to Win Phone 7's launch this fall.

While I'm excited about having a phone that might be be able to be upgraded to WM7 (which is why I bought the HD2), the lost of all my third party apps will make me very cautious of changing.  In someways, not being able to upgrade removes the pain of deciding  Huh
