Got thee £5 'rubber' case I mentioned from my colleague who got it from a market near him.

Pro's:
Even with the case attached it still fits in the leather pouch (just).

Con's:
It's not rubber but hard plastic;
does not fit perfectly at the top (and mainly) bottom of phone.

Overall, worth £1.50 not £5  Sad

Just dropped my phone from about 1m on to hard stone tiles <gulp>  it seems to have survived unscathed  Smiley

So far I have been using a black gel case. Came free with my phone. First time I ever had 1 before.  Gel case not phone sillys.  Tongue Waiting on leather case to see what's available when that 16cell battery with training wheels is released.

But the gel snugs the phone pretty good and protects everything except the face of the screen. Doesnt slip out of my hands nor does it block any ports. And it looks pretty damn good on my phone.

I did not like the leather pouch that comes with phone at first - would not fit in, etc - but afeter time its a nice fit but does not really protect the phone when using and difficult to answer calls quickly.

Need something that protects the phone and the screen, is fully usable and stylish and this looks the best:

http://www.pielframa.com/htc-touch-hd-2-cases.htm

but is it the same as:

http://www.expansys.com/d.aspx?i=189952

It says it is but the other looks more stylish with nice leather brown inside and place for cards and says it is all accessible.

But the price - more expensive than the phone! The phone was free with Vodafone.

If you know were you can get the pielframa one please let me know.

Hi, I bought the 2nd 1, I love it, great protection, easy to use. screen is well protected. It has hard plastic under leather to protect screen,& corners, dont think top 1 does? also I didn't want any part of case up on front of phone, it seems to get in way with touch screen.
I bought here: http://www.cases.com/pf456.htm

edit: it does say it has abs liner too. sorry.. but sides of case still go up past edges,

So the two options are different?

Does yours have a slot for cards?

You say yours has no overlap to hinder use of screen which I had not thought of but is a good point - no you think the other option has an overlap then?

Thanks for your help.

Mine, the 2nd 1, has no pockets, I didn't think I wanted cards against screen? might not matter. If you look close at 1st 1, the sides stick-up above edge of phone. I had similar case on htc hd, screen was smaller, but using with 1 hand, it felt like I was always trying to reach over sides to get to screen. I think you would be happy with either, very good quality, but you pay more too. But the protection is worth it. I dropped mine from coat pocket to cement floor, no damage, little scuff on corner of case, wow, was I happy!! The phone fits quite snug, no slip, plus it sticks enough out on corners that aren't covered, that they are protected too.   Also, I bent top flip back enough that it folds & works like stand, both vertical & horizontal, it really is nice sitting on desk or end table.   sorry, got long winded,,Quig

i really liked the second one with the card slots, but ye the price was crazy for me. so i found an alternative, pdair case. made a thread for it here: http://www.htchd2forum.com/accessories/pdair-leather-flip-case-14-95/

i got the flip case, but i think the book case will feel better and be slimmer too (also has a camera hole, the flip doesn't)

both are about £17-18 each.

i like the feel of the case and the look, but they didn't concentrate too much on the inside, it looks and feels like turd on the inside(the phone area not the card slot side).
i'm happy with it at the £15 i got it for on ebay (by first2save) but if the piel frama was within a decent price range i would have gone for that.

ps. my cards don't scratch up my screen, and once i get the correct screen protector (damn e-cell!!) nothing should happen to the screen. in mine if i push the cards down as far as they are meant to they don't tocuh the screen, but it makes it a bit hard to pull them out when needed.
