The one thing that was never mentioned in what Quig posted was about the class. The class ONLY determines the write speed. Really only noticed when writing large files to the card.  It does not affect the read speed at all. So once the card is filled it doesnt matter what class it is as it will still read the same. So do not think you are getting better performance with your videos from a class 6 card than a class 2 card.

good point for people to know.

ps. found these on play.com

8gb for £10.50, class isn't stated but a review said it was a class 4

16gb for £25, stated class 2, but a review said it was a class 4 and transfered faster anyway.

i'm going to convert a load of videos and see how much space they take lol that will help me decide Cheesy

but they are the best prices i've found so far and think it will be hard to beat them.
i will try get a confirmation from play.com about the speeds though.

Just to let anyone know purchasing the Telstra version, the 16GB card is reportedly only a class 2 that is included in the box.

Hm i didn't know that. But even so, when loading an album, HTC Album creates the cache and thumbnails on the spot, and mine is saved on the SD card, and the write speed could help there. I could also think about situations where programs that stream stuff put the buffer on the sd card. Anyway, so far i haven't seen class 6 16 gb cards on the market. I'm still looking.

It comes in class 2, 4, or 6. If it is not printed on card then it is class 2.
