Hello
I'm going to buy a new HTC HD2. I have a question : how can I disable edge and 3g (to prevent connecting to Internet eg. for weather actualization)? I don't want to delete Internet settings, because than I won't be able to connect to Internet without creating new connection. Is there any way to do that like in iPhone (disabling switch)?
PS. I'm from Poland, so sorry for my bad English.

I was having the same problem; simply solved!!, go into weather/settings and disable the automatic weather update function!! Roll Eyes

 Hi all,
Newbie and my first post! I was curious of this subject before I bought my new HD2 also. I hate contracts and have been using a pay as you go SIM in my previous phone that shall remain nameless.... but it rhymes with MyPhone!
I found the following link that shows you how to install a non existing data connection and kind of tricks the phone into thinking it's connected to an installed modem. I did this procedure on my phone and if you try to connect with the wifi shut off, you won't be able to connect to the web other than maybe tmobiles free web 2 go sight. Seems to work well. I have incurred no charges for data and I really don't need data as I live in the city and could find a hotspot or a free connection somewhere if I really needed it. Hope this helps!
