Hello,

Got my HD2 in Taipei 2 weeks ago.  My phone's ROM is 1.43, and i went to the HTC help center and the guy told me that i can't upgrade my HD2 to 1.66 cuz 1.66 is for other region's HD2?  Is this true?  Why would the HTC discriminate against her own Taiwanese?

Where can i get the 1.66 if my phone is upgradable?  Thanks.

If its not on your country's support page than it hasnt been released yet. That's the case for me also. I don't know what are they doing. Anyway, if you really want 1.66 you need to install HSLP which will void the warranty and after that install the rom you want. But, this process can brick your phone, so if you like taking risks go for it, and read before doing something.

Guess i will just have to wait then.  I dont really need to upgrade my rom to 1.66.  I dont want to turn my HD2 into a brick.
