Need a little professional help here indeed, I just purchased my second HTC HD2, one for my wife, one for me. When I saw that there was a rom update for the htc hd2, I of course went for it, only to be told after placing in my serial number, sorry this update is'nt for my model. I contacted HTC and I was asked for my serial number which I gave, then I was told sorry, my device was for use in taiwan and I could visit htc.com/tw, but said it would be in taiwan language. Now to me thats so unfair to purchasing customers of htc devices. Before I made my purchases from tim tech.com I ask if I will be able to perform upgrades and was told yes, as long as its from the htc site, well thats exactly where I went. Had I been told that my device will have to come from this country or that country in order to obtain updates, I would have re-considered. I purchased the toshiba tg-01 for my son and the imate ultimate 9502 for my daughter and when there was an upgrade to be had, there was no problem whatsoever as long as the device was mentioned. Customers of htc are'nt told anything and now I'm here feeling as if I've purchased AS-IS devices and unless I head for taiwan i'm out of luck here. I am in baltimore maryland, a bit far from taiwan. So does anyone here happen to know of a way I could obtain a rom update for my device without having to deal with cooked roms, which I don't want. With wm-7 coming out, I guess just T-mobile fans will be respected and not us folks. Go figure.
