Hi.

Usually o2 have there own section with updates for their xda/windows phones however o2 haven't put the HTC HD2 on the website. I have lokked on the HTC website and there are a number of updates availble for the HD2. Does anyone know what updates work with the o2 version or if any rom updates apply?

Thanks

i have had 3 hd2's from o2 so far, i ring them up regarding issues with the phone and the technical team seem keener to just replace my phone than to talk about software issues, bizare really considering i am still having problems with this phone.

So if your HD2 was from O2 the ROM updates from HTC wont work?

I take it thats why when I enter my serial number to download 1.66 (rom) it tell me

"Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."

Thats poor - any way round this  Huh

I really hope so

Help..!

same happens to me when i enter my serial number.

i went in to o2 the other day and the guy said they are focussing on the palm pre and the iphone thats why there hasn't been much hype about it which i think is crazy

getting fed up with o2 as no body anywhere whether its in one of their shops or their business line knows anything. when i was first looking for this phone the shops said it wasn't out in shops, the normal call centre said it had been recalled and the business centre said it had been released yet.

i'm hoping the rom update will be soon like many others!!

There is a way. You will need to flash HSPL to install another rom to your phone. Then you can install any rom you want.  You will need to remove HSPL before returning your phone for warranty issues. Also before you use HSPL you should find a copy of your firmware to reinstall for the same reason.  HSPL and unbranded rom will void your warranty.

info on HSPL here

thanks to everyone on the forum though, your a very helpful bunch........apple lol.....sorry couldnt help myself!!!

I've just updated my HD2 with the new ROM (1.72.206.3).
My phone keeps loosing signal though.  I'm not sure if this is as a result of the new ROM or just a coincidence, but it never did this before.
Can anyone help me?
