Hey guys. I ordered my HTC HD2 a little over an hour ago. And ive seen a few things about firmwares.ROM's and other custom firmwares and stuff. What are the advantages of custom firmware? Im pretty confused. Anyone care to explain this all to me?

Hi, welcome to forum. best thing to do is read through things to do 1st, in main page. Then start reading, how to's, use search box, read some more,then ask,if you still need help, hope you enjoy phone & forum as much as I do,,,,Quig

It is all about customization. Most everything can be done to an official rom. Custom roms just offer different themes, icons, applications and mods.  You will need to spend time on xda-developers reading about the different roms to decide what you like.
