I'm watching the live stream now. I don't like it at all. I see myself moving to android really soon (march or april).

We are still waiting on 6.5 and I know Microsoft promised us a 6.6 which was also supposed to have drastic changes. Where are the 6.6 previews?  Not liking the looks of winmo7 at the moment. Do I actually want xbox live connections on my phone? I thought this was a phone for business?

The new version of wm is not for power users as some of us are. And i don't want a dumb phone. For me windows phone 7 series is a big fat BS. Sure, we are gonna find out more about the os in the next couple of weeks and months but i think I've seen enough to make a preliminary opinion. For now, i'm seriously thinking of moving to android.

That's why when htc bravo comes out i will make the move.

I guess they left the basics behind. Great contact organization, music player, messaging, voice command. Improve and fix these. Xbox live and facebook should be addons. To me they shouldnt be included in the OS.  All it means is more bugs.

Windows Phone 7 Series are supposed to be "fun phones," as Microsoft says, consumers looking for a "premium experience."  WinMo 6.*.* will be for professional users, business types.

Last year MS said they were adopting a dual-platform strategy, the WinMo 6.5 user and the WinMo 7 user (WP 7).

So as I understand things, we should NOT be looking at WinMo 7 as a replacement for WinMo 6.5.+, the two OSs will co-exist.

If you look at WinMo 7 it does look like what MS said it is, a "fun" social phone, where emphasis is on social interaction. In contrast, the HD2 U.S. version will be coming with WinMo 6.5 "Professional" which implies emphasis on business.

And yes, WinMo 6.6 was supposed to debut this month.  Not sure why it has not.

It looks like win 7 is targeted predominately for the US.
The Zune feature is useless in most countries outs side of there. Huh
