i haven't messed with my registry, i'm pretty much a cab downloading machine Cheesy
soon though i will mess around more.

ps. i noticed you are sticking the posts, once there are more i think we should create a "list to guides [linked]" thread which remains stickied along with the real basic guides such as how to install a cab, just to keep it clean and leave space for new/replied to threads.

I totally agree. Once there are more we unstick them and create one thread with links to those posts. Smiley

You don't have one because you don't have a registry editor installed by default. You have to download one and install it first. Just search on google for the products mentioned in the video. If you watch carefully the video i state there that i'm gonna be using Resco Registry editor and CeRegEditor. You need to find those and install them before changing regs.

Does Total Commander even have a registry editor? I thought it was just a file explorer.

I think it has a built in reg editor, I've never used it but according to the authors website it was added in 2008.

OK. Link took me to pc version but I did some investigating. The pocket pc version does have it.

Navigate as far up the directory structure as possible. There is a button with a "\" that will take you straight there. At the top of the list of folders you will see a "\\Plugins" node .. click this, and then the "registry" one that appears next

Strange way of getting to it. It does show KKCR, HKCU, and HKLM. Not a very user friendly application though. Nor is it suited very well for our capacitive screen. But it is free. Makes me appreciate resco all that much more.

I also use TC but while working with it I use the keyboard arrows to navigate. Much easier!
